Vaani ("we", "our", or "us") is a WhatsApp sales assistant for Shopify stores, operated by Leogo Designs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when merchants install the Vaani app and when their customers interact with Vaani via WhatsApp.

1. Information We Collect

From Merchants:

• Shopify store URL and access token (to fetch your product catalog)
• WhatsApp Business phone number and Meta credentials
• Store configuration preferences (language, categories, brand name)

From Customers:

• WhatsApp phone number (received via Meta's API when a customer messages)
• Conversation history during a shopping session
• Product shortlists and expressed purchase intent
• Shipping details voluntarily shared to complete an order

2. How We Use Information

• To connect customers with the correct merchant's store on WhatsApp
• To fetch and display relevant products from the merchant's Shopify catalog
• To generate AI-powered responses and product recommendations
• To create Shopify draft orders and send checkout payment links
• To manage billing and subscription status for merchants

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with these service providers to operate Vaani:

• Anthropic — AI processing for chat responses
• Meta / WhatsApp Business API — message delivery
• Shopify — product catalog access and order creation
• Railway — cloud infrastructure hosting

4. Data Retention

Conversation history is retained for up to 90 days. When a merchant uninstalls Vaani, their store data and customer conversations are deleted within 30 days.

5. Security

All data is stored in encrypted databases. API credentials are never exposed in client-facing code. We use HTTPS for all data in transit.

6. Your Rights

Merchants may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

7. WhatsApp & Meta Compliance

Vaani operates through the official WhatsApp Business API and complies with Meta's Business and Commerce policies. We do not initiate unsolicited messages.
